Welcome Back to School No comments yet

Well, for many of us, school has officially began. We still have a few clients who are able to enjoy this cool spell before classes begin. It’s hard to look out the office window and see wonderful weather after being cooped up inside hiding from the heat, rain and mosquitos all summer.

We’re getting a very large spike in webtraffic. I’d like to encourage you to comment or write back if you have questions, thoughts or comments. We really believe in what we do and enjoy being a resource for schools and professionals around the country. We had a very productive summer with our clients, but that has kept us away from upgrading our work on our website. Hopefully, we’ll being able to get in a provide some fresh content. Part of it will just be setting up a writing schedule and putting the blog as part of it.

I’m working on some great ideas right now, so please come back soon.

Welcome Coalition of Illinois High Schools Conference Attendees No comments yet

I just wanted to put out a quick post to thank our audience members from the Coaliton of Illinois High Schools Conference.  We estimate, by the standing room only audience, that we had well over 100 people in our audience.  Obviously, there’s a great thirst for RtI and Professional Learning Team knowledge in Illinois.

We will be pretty busy this fall.  We are scheduled for a slate of Illinois Principals Association academies, the IPA Conference and two Midwest Principals Center programs.  When the dates get finalized, I’ll post the information here and probably in the forum.

I encourage you to use the forum.  Our profession seems reluctant to use social media tools, but they can really help bridge the gap between that need for professional learning and the constraints of tight budgets.  Please give it a try.  Start small, you don’t need to identify your school, position, etc.

By the way, the main site www.empoweredhighschools.com has had a lot of upgrades.  I recommend that you take another look at it. Let us know what you think.

Please check back soon.  Now that the end of the year activities are past, I hope to get more posting done.

Thanks for reading.

Charles
